Dr Chris Smith was the founder-director of the Conflict, Security and Development Group. He also has attachments to the Universities of Bristol and Brighton and is a Research Associate at Chatham House. He now works primarily as a freelance consultant. He has worked on issues relating to conflict, security and development for the past twenty-five years and has a strong background in both development and security studies.
Chris Smith has a private limited UK company, Conflict, Security & Development Partnerships which specialises in the monitoring, evaluation and strategic direction of donor-funded projects and programmes, primarily but not exclusively in South Asia.
